Powered Industrial Truck/Forklift Operator Spanish
Coaching the Lift Truck Operator is a comprehensive program designed to help you meet the latest OSHA regulations for operator training. The scope provisions of 1910.178(a), which are based on ANSI B56.1 - 1969, remain in effect and cover:
- Fork trucks, tractors, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, and other specialized industrial trucks powered by electric motors or internal combustion engines.
- For marine terminal and long shoring industries, all powered industrial trucks are covered, no matter what specialized name they are given.
Applicable to all of your employees regardless of experience level, this one day program covers all areas of safe operation and maintenance. This program includes practical hands-on experience conducting a pre-trip inspection, lifting, backing & working in confined areas.
Powered Industrial Truck - Definition:
- Commonly known as forklifts, pallet trucks, rider trucks, fork-trucks, or lift-trucks.
- A mobile, power-propelled truck used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier materials.
- Can be powered through electric or combustion engines.
Certification valid for three (3) years.
This 8hr course covers:
- Safe operation,
- Load factors,
- Load/unloading,
- Heights,
- Parking,
- Use of PPE,
- Maintenance, and
- Pedestrian safety.
Students must pass a written & practical test
