About the National Safety Council
The National Safety Council is a non-profit, non-governmental, public service membership organization dedicated to protecting life and promoting health. Founded nationally in 1913 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1953, the National Safety Council has been a presence in our local community since 1965. Members include more than 48,000 businesses, labor organizations, schools, public agencies, private groups, and individuals.
